The song “It’s a wild world” first appeared in Stereopony’s single Chiisana Mahou. It is the band’s first song that is completely in English.
The song’s theme is the break for freedom. When we are unsteady and unsure of the world around us, we tend to be more aggressive to survive. Barring out teeth at the world, ready to fight all that We are afraid to chase after our dreams, or to even be ourselves. So, we just live and struggle to live our day to day lives.
We have to keep reminding ourselves that we need to keep remembering the dreams we have. The place in our life where we lived fearless and had a million dreams is in the past but now is the chance to bring it back Fearlessly chasing after a dream you believe in is what we must never forget and follow with all our might.
With AIMI’s direct way of telling us to look at ourselves in a new light and to re-evaluate if this is really what we want to do and who we want to be. Living our lives without a single wall keeping us away from our happiness. With the thudding in our hearts being the only reason to go on, we must make the pathways to our dreams as the time comes for us to fight for all our worth for the things we want and believe in.
The second half of the song is about the world after we start realizing our dreams. It’s our own responsibility to get up even if we fall a million times because a dream is just waiting to be realized. Complaints or excuses have no place but only faith and hard work is taking us there.
The lyrics and the music is written by AIMI. Musically, this song is very punk rock starting with a beat that breaks into a run into the first guitar phrase. AIMI’s voice with the strong accent but good lyrics, making this a very fun song despite it being completely in English. A very fast paced song- very Stereopony in the guitar and “machine-gun” like drumming in the last phrase. The bass work sounds out really great in this song adding to the pace and the strength of the theme.
