Sakura-Con 2012 – Day One

RSNiteblaze, Arcluna, Drahc, and Elsuke from VGD attended Sakura-Con today. A ton of content was covered.

STEREOPONY performed live and was interviewed on the Bob Rivers Show. Click here to download the radio interview. Also, you can watch the performance online:

STEREOPONY made their first appearance at Sakura-Con during the Opening Ceremonies. We have different angles, so view them here:

Elsuke, our press photographer, got a ton of good photos, and the rest of us, along with gotchi (from YUI Lovers, also representing dso) and her friends and our friend Tony were up at front holding the banner Hirotana designed for us. We will be uploading photos to the VGD Gallery after Sakura-Con and the U.S. Tour. So, be sure to come back and check out all those photos.

After the concert it was the first autograph session. We each got a couple autographs, and we got to meet some of the STEREOPONY staff. We were also able to arrange something with the STEREOPONY and Sakura-Con staffs and get space for fans to sign Hirotana’s banner.

During all this, Arcluna managed to get his Koza Music Festival CD signed, the CD which has the song “Baby” by MIX BOX, the name of AIMI, NOHANA, and SHIHO’s band before their debut. But overall, it was Drahc who probably had the best day. He showed his tattoo to some of the STEREOPONY staff members, and he was actually interviewed. When he returned to the autograph table, AIMI, NOHANA, and SHIHO each signed his arm and took photos of it. And it was almost immediately posted on Twitter right after.

At the end of all this, the four of us, gotchi, and Tony went out for dinner at Game Works (across the street from our hotel), where we finally met up with Destonus, who we somehow did not meet at all during the day.

It has been an amazing day, and we hope that Saturday will be just as amazing. We will be covering the STEREOPONY Q&A session, second autograph session, and our interview with the band. Stay tuned.
