Stereopony Song of the Week, Week 14

OVER THE BORDER

The song “OVER THE BORDER” first appeared in Stereopony’s second album by the same name OVER THE BORDER.

A song about different things that transcend the gaps of culture, language, race, age, or any of the limitations. If one believes that they can go and look beyond these barriers they can surely achieve a lot more. A world that is empty of any kind of division is the world that STEREOPONY wants to start in. Then drawing different lines that connect people, places, and most importatnly feelings is what they want. The world is full of things that need connecting like strong feelings of the world as one community, one unit and they want to make that dream come true.

A song full of a lot of energy to change the world we live in. The lines that they draw may make someone happy or someone sad but it will definitely give a chance for people to express themselves. And because of that it gives people the courage to do things and be what they want to be. If the world is full of all the lines that people draw connecting each other then there will be a lot of new and amazing things coming up. Each moment will be full of happiness and surprise and learning.

The part of the world that has no lines is full of a lot painful things that are not easy to handle without group effort. There are times when we lose our way or we make choices that change everything and it lands us into a lot of trouble. But STEREOPONY’s message continues — we must never give up. We always have a way to reinvent and recreate ourselves, however the conditions are, we can always make something that’s worth keeping. Just like a river flows underground spreading a lot of good things with it, bringing life all over, these lines connecting people will also be like water that makes relations and good vibrations grow.

The last line on the song, “Even if it is a crooked line, as long as it keeps coming from your fingertips, it will grow freely, stronger and stronger,” is a very special line — reminding us to have faith in ourselves, in others and our dreams.

The music in this song has very good bang and then it slowly grows as the song’s theme is built up. A very fast start where the music makes you feel like you’re moving with it, like in a car journey.

So enjoy this week’s Stereopony Song of the Week as Stereopony heads to Sakura-Con 2012 and the following U.S. Tour! They are a great example to the theme of this song that emotions through music can travel anywhere and make people come together to achieve their dreams. So let’s enjoy this week as we go over the borders and make our world better than our dreams!
